This unpaved lane winds through rugged mountain terrain, river bottom, canyon, pine forest and alpine meadows, each turn revealing another postcard-perfect vista.
Once here, hop on a horse or lace up your hiking boots, and you can step right into Montana's rich past. On the lands surrounding the ranch, you can explore the century-old remnants of ghost towns or venture out to one of the many mountain lakes.
Miles of trails lead you to an eagle's eye view of the Pioneer Mountains and the Big Hole and Beaverhead River valleys. Within a landscape of this magnitude, there are private treasures, too, like the jewel of a trout no one but you has ever seen before, or the delicate and impossibly bright wildflowers hidden in your secret picnic spot.
The Lodge.
The main lodge, a cozy Montana log structure with best-of-the-backcountry décor, is the gathering place and dining hall. Days begin and end here, with simple yet delicious fare for breakfast and dinner, and as a meeting place for you and your guests to plan and set out on whatever the day's adventure will be. We'll even provide lunches to take along on your wanderings, explorations, fishing trips and pack trips, plus help you get started with anything else you need for a perfect vacation.
The lodge's shady covered porch is the perfect place to kick back and swap stories at day's end. And later, when even summer evenings cool down rapidly in Montana's typical fashion, you might gather with family and friends at the lodge's rock fireplace.
